BioThreat researcher and cybersecurity expert, Yana Blachman, started her career in the elite and world-
renowned Unit 8200 of the Israeli Defense Forces. Today, in her role as threat intelligence researcher at
Venafi, Yana spends her days investigating APT groups and uncovering trends and exploits across the
clear and deep web. She is also developing a machine identity threat intelligence model – based on the
MITRE ATT&CK Matrix – to help organizations understand the extent to which adversaries are abusing
machine-to-machine communications. Yana strongly believes more women should work in cybersecurity
to bring value by providing different perspectives in a traditionally male dominated industry.
